[mslee's thoughts] Witch's Romance - The Happy Ending


As expected, the drama ended in a happy atmosphere. Romantic and hopeful. I predicted a time lapse in the story and I was right. Both Ji Yeon and Dong Ha needed to fix or go on with their dreams first before they can continue their romance.



Ji Yeon went overseas for her exchanged reporter opportunity while Dong Ha continues his studies. They were apart but secure in the knowledge that both are in love with one another.




But then, Dong Ha is still studying. Ji Yeon is already in her prime and ready to settle. The good thing in the story, it showed that they can wait until it is ready to happen. It does not make the ending looks hurried just to show or fulfill a viewer's wishful ending. The age gap is really one of the main issue of the story. But Ji Yeon as the more mature one, she handles the situation very well. 

The love is there and it is not going any where, anytime. It will remain. I like how she ended the scene with a narration talking about the possibility of their relationship may not end in marriage. But what is important is the present and how they are to each other. Enjoy the moment. 


Romance was also leveled up. The much awaited more than a kiss and hug relationship between our noona-dongsaeng couple happened. But I am satisfied at how it was shown, in a teasing, playful moment suggestively. That is sweet and fun for our OTP. The morning after was nice with the two cuddled up together in bed.


One of the good endings of the story is how Ji Yeon realized that her nemesis/rival in the company who irritates her [lol] and she annoys him [so much!] deserve the position of Editor in Chief. She acknowledged his abilities and capabilities which his team already recognized as his charm and intelligence. He knew every bit and pieces about the company and about everyone's work, which shows he is taking his time to see everything not just his personal work. A definition of what a true leader is.

What is romantic drama without a wedding?


Well guess who? Yes! The CEO of Trouble Maker and Ji Yeon's omma! The two lovebirds decided to tie the knot. It was almost a sad ending for these two because of how neat freak the CEO is, but then love found it's way in his heart, making him realized Ji Yeon's mother with her sweet charm is important. 



Almost everyone in the story has their happy ending. Even Soo Chul and Eun Chae got together, finally. Soo Chul's enigmatic charm captured the innocent Eun Chae.

Witch's Romance started in a funny and accidental chanced meeting but how the romance followed suit was a journey that made a viewer like me stay and smile with Ji Yeon and Dong Ha. The chase is always my favorite part of the romance and the drama did not disappoint me. It was a good feeling all the way even through tough times. The cute moments of Dong Ha and Ji Yeon are only some of the awaited scenes each week. The couple evolved and positive outcome came. 


Witch's Romance will be missed every Monday and Tuesday. Another romance ended. I am satisfied. The hope lingers leaving a smile in my face for Ji Yeon and Dong Ha.

[mslee's thoughts] Ep. 15 & 16 - Secret Final Review

Honestly, I was not so eager to watch the final 2 episodes. Why? Perhaps I know the story is nearing it's end and there'll be no more Secrets to look forward to next week, Why do great dramas end so fast? Hmmm...sighing here. this is somewhat long... Episode 15 Anyway, last week's ending was another cliffhanger for viewers. The question hanging in my mind was, will Do Hoon win in this game he planned? Yes, it is like a game of hide and seek, hiding secrets and seeking the truth. [mslee's thoughts] The King's Face Episode 23 Final Screen caps and Review

Finally I am writing my thoughts on episode 23. Even in this last episode, the King never took time to understand the heart of Prince Gwang Hae. It was so easy for him to think that Prince Gwang Hae will take his seat away from him. Yes, Gwang Hae admitted thinking of being a King but it does not mean he has a mind that could be accused of treason. Prince Gwang Hae advised his father that it should be the people he must worry about and not his face because what happens to the lives of the people makes a King's face. The King has not had the face of a king until now because he lacked the understanding and the heart of what his duty entails. His people are not happy and still suffers that's why those transcend to him as the King who over looks on them, giving him the face of not suited to be King.
