[mslee's thoughts] Witch's Romance Episode 6 Review - Memories Versus What's Real Now

Who is not excited to watch episode 6 of Witch's Romance when we are all left hanging with strong feelings from the outburst of emotion in episode 5?

Definitely not me? So excited I have opened my laptop so early this morning to see if subbed episode is already out! And thanks to the wonderful works of the subbers, I watched this with a smile all through out.

Oh, oh...Dong Ha was too much when he said he does not want to see Ji Yeon anymore. If I were in her place that time, I, too would be sad and a little bit embarrassed...well, she surely has shown him her soft side, her caring side that made his confused mind and heart say stupid and hurtful words towards her.

I understand where he is coming from. But...in Ji Yeon's point of view, it was an effort coming sincerely from her heart to make him hopeful and happy. At least she has revealed her heart a little. Although she could easily denied the feelings. Still, she was hurt. And that says it all.

He stormed out of the house and left her standing there. She packed and left the place, visited her own home which is not yet done fixing from last incident where an intruder assaulted her.

Dong Ha went to a familiar place he used to visit with her girlfriend before. Memories rushing back. The promises they made. The bracelets they wore.

Then coincidentally, Jung Eun Chae also went there and small world, she is his girlfriend's sister. She has the bracelet he gave to his girlfriend, too. I think Eun Chae feels something towards Dong Ha and a bit saddened to realized he was her sister's boyfriend then.

Cute bromance!

I always love the exchanged of words between Soo Cheol and Dong Ha. He keeps on teasing her about the witch, the ahjumma, about Ji Yeon. He see's something in them that both has not yet confirmed by themselves.

I love how Soo Cheol is okay with the thought of them being together. A friend cheering on the side. Fighting!:))

And so Dong Ha finds her.

Can I say that writernim is so crazy to include another "couple" in the drama? Chincha! This is fun! Oma and the Director! I think I will certainly look forward to scenes with these two. How love will conquer them.

Ji Yeon continues to do blind dates. Hoping to find someone suitable to bring in a reunion with college friends. But with her personality, it is very hard for a man to commit himself.

So here comes our "Part Time" hoobae/dongsaeng/namja. The "know-it-all" tutor on how to have a successful blind date. If only Ji Yeon would accept him to be her date. Just as he asked, "Am I too young?" I think it is not the reason, just as she should know but perhaps protecting her heart from further hurt.

The moment I love! The moment when not only them are hyperventilating but so do I!!!
Hahahahaha......Why does it have to always end in an awkward situation for the leads? Why not take action and be done with it? Seriously! With a weak heart, a cardiac arrest can really do damage! Writernim! PDnim!

The almost kiss! And this is only preparing JI Yeon to be successful in her date.

But the moment is so REAL! For both of them. The feelings are real!

Leaving them even more confused. Or maybe not. Hmmm....at this point, I think it is more clear than ever in Dong Ha's side that his feelings are growing each day, beating for this ahjumma.

Just could not resist to be at the restaurant where Ji Yeon is meeting her blind date who was the botanist she asked for the hyacinth.

The man who dumped Ji Yeon. Strolling at a park, reminded of the past. What's his story?

Because the botanist presumed too much during the reunion with her college friends, Ji Yeon's true personality was unleashed, making chaos and physically abusing the poor man.

She almost lost the bet she made with her friends. To the rescue Dong Ha. Dashing as ever. Confessing his heart's content in a romantic but sincere way. The moment is not really a fake drama unfolding. The moment is so true, the words flowing real even Ji Yeon felt them.

The embrace could not have been more beautiful.  But of course, as I said in many of my previous thoughts in any drama I blog, not all things beautiful last. For this one, the ending came too soon! Never lasted but very short.

Guess who came suddenly? You bet! The man who has been missing all these years!

Memories versus Dong Ha!
Past and Present Meets!
Memories versus what is real now...

Will Ji Yeon use our cute boy to protect her pride? Will Dong Ha stake his claim on this woman? Will he challenged this man?

The drama is getting more exciting than ever. Will memories hold them putting a stop in their present feelings?

  1. Thanks for your post. This episode is a bit angsty but I enjoyed it, especially the interactions between our leads. I swooned at Dong Ha's confession at the end. Wished their moment was not cut short so quickly! ~NN
