[mslee's thoughts] Episode 17 Master's Sun - Happy Ending
Just finished watching Master's Sun final episode and as always it left me smiling and grinning even while watching. What a comfort to the heart! The ending is of course predictable, knowing it will lead to happy ending.
One complaint only from mslee is that having the additional episode [17] made the story run in circles. Anyway, it prolonged the drama and more sweet push and pull moments between Joo Joong Won and Tae Gong Shil filled the screen. Episode 16 was about Tae Gong Shil's departure from Joo Joong Won's life as she try to find ways to be herself before the accident occurred. She wants to be the normal girl besides Joong Won. Of course, he did not immediately understand her reasons. But in the end, he trust her enough to come back to him whatever the outcome of her search.
Episode 17 showed a new Tae Yang, more confident. At first she denied seeing ghost anymore because she wanted to make Joong Won believe she changed. But of course he made her drink wine and that always followed disaster. Their first meeting resulted to a long night of Tae Yang seducing him in many more ways as ghost come and go through her body.
A very funny moments for these two love birds. A light atmosphere that brought laughter to viewers like me. It's not only Tae Yang and Joong Won who have their lives sorted out. The aunt and uncle of his, the noona/dongsaeng couple is having a baby and Tae Yang showed the aunt that choosing love over anything else is a wonderful feeling. Maybe she won't be immediately friends with the aunt but bit by bit, she will be comfortable around her.
Tae Yi Ryeong hold tight onto Kang Woo. Her spirit never wavered and as time goes by Kang Woo let himself be close to her. He even accepted to be her bodyguard and walk along the dreaded red carpet. Guess they will also have their happy ending.
Even Tae Yang's sister and the security who has a "cheap" mouth as Gong Ri called him is a couple, too. What about my favorite ahjussi secretary Kim? The wonderful match maker of k-drama! He was so loyal to Joong Won and very nice to Tae Yang until the very end. After all the incident that involves his nieces, he remain true to Joong Won.
I was smiling the whole time Joong Won was keeping his impatience at bay. Tae Yang told him she would call and he would wait. It's very fun watching him making cute gestures, can't even control his feelings for Tae Yang. Indeed, Tae Yang stole his heart without him knowing. And when the invitation called him to go to Tae Yang's newly purchased building [laughed out loud here.. it's the building she has always been living and Joong Won bought it then sold to her], the moment made me giddy just by looking at them both on the screen. The feeling of happiness is radiating towards me, beyond the screen. And there is nothing more beautiful than watching them together exchanging witty words and unconcealed feelings.
The awaited kiss happened! Of course it was an awaited moment. Because the first two kisses were done when ghosts were in Tae Yang's body. Now, she is simply Tae Gong Shil. A sweet kiss that is decently long but made me grin widely like an idiot!
Yeah, mslee is having her happy ending with Tae Gong Shil and Joo Joong Won. And to think I almost passed on this drama because I fear ghost so much even if it's only a drama! :))
As for final thoughts, this surely is my number 1 favorite this year.
Thank you Hong sisters for writing this beautiful and funny story. Thank you PDnim for the sweet visuals. Gong Hyo Jin once again delivered the character amazingly. So Ji Sub..you are one cute namja!
